LSU AND TULANE CANCEL SERIES IN FOOTBALL

BATON ROUGE – LSU and Tulane have mutually agreed to cancel the remainder of their series in football, both schools announced on Wednesday.

LSU and Tulane had six years remaining on the 10-year deal that was signed in May of 2005. The teams will play this year in Tiger Stadium and one more game in the future, but the date of that game has yet to be determined.

The Tigers were scheduled to open the 2010 season in New Orleans against the Green Wave, however, LSU will now face North Carolina in the Chick-fil-A Kickoff Game in the Georgia Dome in Atlanta to start next year.

Until we are equal on the field these games were going to continue to suck for all involved... good move!

Somewhat good news. I would be interested in hearing how the talks b/w the two athletic directors went with this.

I was being serious. McNeese beats Tulane next week. Watch and see.

I see them just dismantling the football program.

This should probably happen shortly.

damned sarcasm radar not working. I agree with scheduling in-state cupcakes versus out of state...if we are going to pay money to these schools we might as well keep it in state.

Thanks LSU. You've replaced a shitty Tulane game with 2 other shitty games. Congrats

I'm guessing something like: "Hey... you feel like playing us anymore" ... "No, not really." ... "alright"

Just when Tulane put it all together.
Hope we replace them with some interesting team, i.e. Penn State, tOSU etc..
