I hope this isn't Germans, but what is wrong with Charles Scott? He is not hitting the holes with authrity and is tippy toeing to the line. Last year he was a beast, this year he is a cream puff. Could it be jelousy of KW's increased role?

that one play on second down he ran straight up to the pile and tried to just lay on top of it, had he cut outside 15-20 yards but he still chuck the truck

his yards will come. Teams are loading the box right now, but we'll take advantage of that at some point and back the defense up.

He's always done that on most of his runs.

He is not as quick. There were a couple of occasions last night he failed to cut back like he did last year. Keiland should be the lead guy right now.

This is true. There are no holes for the most part. However, he is folding like a damn step ladder when he makes contact. That's not like him. The run at the end of the game being the exception that used to be the rule.

He's really just alright, not good

if he was truly good, we wouldn't be rotating RBs so much

WE have no Full Back to bust the holes open for him like Quinn last year. Give him a chance though when we run him to the outside on sweeps and he gets in space he is a beast. Remember guys even with how bad it was last year he was our work horse (18 tds)

Are you seeing something I am missing? OL sucks big time so far. Can't run block or pass block. Option runs working better, IMO, because we have superior speed to the corner, and because it appears Dickson is the only decent blocker we have right now...

Keiland runs around people, Scott runs over them. Or at least that's the way its been in the past. Keiland is almost as big as Scott, but has never ran over people with impunity. He is an incredible runner.

With the way the O-Line is (not)blocking on the run, there's no hole for Scott to hit. Keiland has never been one to hit a hole anyway, so in fact, he might be the right choice at the moment. If there's no hole, and he's got the vision to find room to run, then let's see what he can do.

I'll admit that our run blocking needs work and the holes were hard to find, but last year HE MADE HOLES!

Hard to hit a whole that doesn't exist. They were run blitzing damn near every play practically daring LSU to throw deep balls, but they never did.

LSU consistently threw slip screens and short routes, but the WRs had trouble blocking so as soon as Lafell caught the screen, the CB made the tackle

Or, it seems as though we are constantly handing the ball to him on dive plays up the middle. Why not pitch him the ball and give him a little more head of steam? I attribute the "what's wrong" part of it to a lack of more creative play calling with Scott. It is true he is not as versatile, but they seem to be (at least in my mind) limiting his ability....

i said it before, this is going to be a very different offense from the last few years. you cant lose herman johnson, quinn johnson, and get better running up the middle. as much as i love i formation, power football, that is probably not going to be this team

Not so obvious. Flanker screens run repeatedly aren't gonna do it

The Oline hasn't come together and we don't have a Quin Johnson type player leading the way anymore.
