Tonight I saw, five wide. Four wide. The Pistol. Variations on the UF Spread. Multiple formations and groupings. KW at tailback. CS at tailback. RS at QB, WR. KW at WR. Passes to Dickson. Passes to shepard. A number of QB options. A number of traditional pitch options.

This offense is pretty much the perfect amalgamation of parts of the most successful offenses in the country, as well as a bunch of exotic formations never seen at LSU before Crowton.

You guys are getting tired of sleeping with the supermodel. Come on now.

Also, pop quiz: What do you get when you make your talented young quarterback who can run throw down field when he's not ready to?

Terrell Pryor.

326 yards.

94 in the second half.

No vertical game at all.

Sloppy field. A dumb turnover and a missed TD pass that messed up the rhythm.

So you're basically saying this is pretty much what we'll see all season? You're expecting W's over 'bama and Ole Miss by just simply switching up the timing of the play calling?

no. I think LSU is a work in progress. And I'm not ready to proclaim them as anything other than a 2-0 team with a lot of season left to play.

There's more to even the plays that you're seeing than what happened. JJ is likely making the safe reads instead of looking downfield. Eventually he will start taking chances and seeing the openings in coverage earlier.

He will slow down and make the throws that he's capable of.

Just calm the frick down.

Will we win? i don't know. But we're dealing with a young quarterback. There were times last year when not making a costly turnover would've been enough to win the game.

Vanilla wasn't an issue at all. Getting the play calling in a rhythm was. 'Course Vandy's D has something to do with that.

Bottom line: im worried/ pissed / disappointed because if we play like we've played these 1st 2 games we'll lose to georgia/fla/auburn/ole miss and bama. Everyone deep down knows this is fricking true.

I was reading the ingredients in my favorite spice blend and it said "spices".......Why would this make me think of our offense.....

Did RS have 3 first downs in his first 3 touches?
