Nick is a BIG kid and excellent blocker, but really saw nothing of note in his recieving. He caught one pass in the opening drive but fumbled it as soon as he was drilled. Now its very hard to get a feel for how good of a TE he is overall due to the team being overmatched against Ruston. The final score was 34-6, and Ruston really didn't play very well. The best players on the field seemed to be 2 underclassmen. Rod Davis of Many is every bit of 6'3 190 and a legit athlete. The junior must have had 10-15 catches and Many's lone TD. He's a stud. The best player, however in my opinion was sophomore DB Cyril Nolan of Ruston. The 6'2 185 phenom is athletic and smart and just has a knack for knowing how to play the game. This kid will be a special one to watch...

I may be wrong, but I had thought he was more of a blocking TE.

Though if he COULD catch, I like that height.

Oh he's huge and can defintiely block, but he didn't seem overly fluid running, or at least not as fluid as Tyler or Eric Edwards in high school

I thought Jacobs was being recruited as an offensive lineman? Not sure about that.

We'l he's listed as a TE/DE on the recruiting sites. I didn't see much from him on DE and he really didn't play there that much. He only had one pass thrown to him, and was pretty much just used as a blocker, so a move to the OL wouldn't surprise me based on his size and blocking ability

I'm not sure about Jacobs but you may be thinking of Cameron Fordham. He's a TE I believe but we'll be playin him at center.

Yeah, I know Cam is recruited for OL, but I thought Nick was too? But I am probably wrong, of course listening to how he played and the team used him, I might not be.

You are mistaking what people on here think he should be vs what he is recruited as.

Got Joseph for a couple more, and then Matt Branch could serve that need in a pinch.

He is indeed. There is also another sophomore at Ruston that could also be a top guy to look out for, a kid with the last name of Brunson. He's 6'4.5 280 and benches around 300, tons of upside. But for next year, the Rod Davis kid at Many looks like a player that will be a top WR in a class that is loaded with sick talent at WR

I haven't seen Landry in person, but based on film, I'd say no. But, based on reports and film it would appear Landry has no equal. That being said, Davis has a definite size advantage and will be one of the larger WRs in a takented group for next year, and thus would be a take in that he fills that need. Especially with Lafell graduating and the defection of Molton

I'm expecting him to eventually play OT.

With RR, Hunter, possibly Simon, then he would probably have to compete for a scholarship over Alonzo Lewis.

Maybe so... what are the possibilities that Lewis is recruited as an athlete and could be a DB?

I don't know. I thought I remember him doing so well at WR at camp that he came away with an offer. Maybe it was as an athlete though.
