Cox doesn't serve Shreveport or Alexandria.

Right.

Suddenlink has followed Cox on a few things, and they continue to add more HD. I wonder when we will get the U in HD?

is it actually going to be Hi Def or is it going to be low def with a Hi Def boarder?

That's up to ESPN.

I paid to have FIOS put in so I could watch in HD

then I find out this

ESPNU HD is a 720p high definition simulcast of ESPNU

so it is low def with a hi def border/graphics basically

only if we could get ESPNU HD here in virginia. High Definition television just makes regular broadcasting look like boo boo.

WRONG. 720p IS considered HD. Virtually every HD channel you have is 720p or 1080i. Those are both HD. All ESPN HD programming is broadcast in 720p. There will not be any side bars on your screen.

I have it tuned to the channel now, but I don't get a picture. It says Temporarily off air....are you actually watching the channel or just seeing it on the guide?
