I was pretty worried with the defense after watching how tired they got and how easily Washington moved the ball around. I was very disappointed in Chad Jones performance but just as impressed with Drake Nevis'. However, after thinking about it the last couple of days, I remembered Pelini's first game as the LSU DC. I believe it was against Arizona State who also moved the ball easily against us. I remember thinking if he was really as good as advertised, he was going to have to step it up in this league. Looking back, he had a stellar career as the Tigers DC and seems poised for the same at Nebraska. I had the same doubts about Chavis after Saturday night until I thought of that. Hopefully, the Tigers rebound in the same way that Pelini's Tigers did 4 years ago.

Anyway, just an observation.

Not sure who Apex is. Just a newbie. I had not seen that observation having been made before so I am sure I missed it. It was just on my mind.

good thinkin buddy, I actually started a thread about this yesterday too.... I agree totally, its a strikingly similar comparison, not to mention another sec team from tennessee is comming to town next weekend.... A little wierd, we gotta beat Vandy though, they are no Tennesse...

still a little unerving, but I thought the D looked ok, we have to tackle better, be better on 3rd, pass coverage is still a little shaky too... all in all though, the potential to be really good is still there...
