Just my thoughts

I just wanted to say a couple things about the game Saturday night and get some feedback from posters.
1. Jefferson - thought he played very well; had a couple of dropped passes and threw the ball away when he needed to. Overall thought he showed great poise in running this team.
2. Offense - looked pretty vanilla to me. I know it's the first game but for god sakes use some creativity. And yes we only had 48 plays but that's mainly because we showed no creativity in sustaining drives. Hope we improve here.
3. Defense - Wow. Well a lot could be said here but let's just say no pass rush (quick drops or not we had NO pass rush); poor tackling by some not all players; too soft of a zone, etc etc etc.
4. Chad Jones - kinda worried here. he's really not living up to the hype. Like the guy but where's the real talent. yea he's a good lookin player but what does he do well besides fair catch punts?
I think we have the talent to improve greatly and maybe this was just you're typical first game but hey a win's a win right.

I think after the Vandy game we should sit back and see if we have gotten any better. Vandy is a decent team, not like the old vandy teams that used to get demolished every game. We should see if we were vanilla on O and if the D improves on the basics (tackling, pass rush, and all that other good shite). I think we will be just fine.

Why can't people just reply to a post with some sense and move on. Does it make you feel like a bad arse to insult someone over the internet? If you've already discussed this topic with someone else then just f*ckin move on man. Good god nobody is making you reply. And I don't care if you've heard the word vanilla too much today. Would it make you feel better if I said boring.

Your comments about the offence being vanilla to me, is right on, but guess what jwill37, it was supposed to be that way for JJ in his first game. I for one am very pleased we won without giving up the store. I just wish the hell people could understand that. With that said, how many plays to you think Less and Company set up for down the road with those two "flare out" passes to TT? Just think about what I just said.

What would you have said if we had lost? It was a close game mind you. You think because it was the first game then we should withhold some of our play calling. We don't want to show our hand? Come on man, you don't really believe that do you. I'm not sure our coaches intended anything to be set up and just because a play works doesn't mean it was set up by a previous play. I just thought our offense was too conservative first game ot not. If you disagree that's fine but running the ball up the middle into an eight man box over and over again expecting a different result is insanity.

jwill37, you have a ton of shite to learn about college football my friend. Do U not think the LSU fake field goals in the past stops other teams from rushing 11 guys to block it ? Dare you to post a subject on this, you will be crucified or maybe you fear the truth?
