He was our best safety saturday night. He should get the start. He definitely played much better than CJ.

Taylor looked lost at times, IMO.

First game though. Gotta give him more time than that to adjust.

Taylor did look misplaced. He has the tools.....just needs more prep time. He will get better.

I do agree that Taylor has the physical talent required for the position. He made a great play after getting burned, and then got that BS pass interference call.

I just think a safety should be the best tackler on the team because he is the last chance of stopping someone before a TD. McCray is an excellent tackler. I think he plays the deep zone better than CJ as well.

I am just tired of people not knowing what they are talking about and saying he needs to never see the field. He is our best option at safety at this point and it doesn't seem to be close.

I know right. I'm still pissed about that. They probably wouldn't have scored on that drive if they would've called that correctly...then the rantards would be so pissed with a 31-16 victory.

That terrific stiff arm by polk would say otherwise. Coleman caught it to. I have to admit that stiff arm was sick.

McCRay got pwned during the game and then was
yanked. I agree cj played poorly. Hatcher and b Taylor tackle better than mccray, he always takes a poor angle and is too weak to make up for it. He is for all intensive purposes, a road bump.

Except that McCray was totoally out of position for the tackle. Proper angle of pursuit would have him decapatating the RB just as Coleman was catching the stiff arm.

I was not impressed with McCray. Apparently neither were the coaches as he split time with Taylor. By UGA/Fla maybe Loston will be able to jump in.

Random Memory:

...didn't Chad Jones get away with pass interference in first half...

Ball wasn't in the air. CJ decked the receiver about 10yds into his route. Is the college rule "no contact after the receiver is >5yds downfield"? If so CJ got away with one.

huh?

anyway, if you were to gather together all of the commentary on this board, you could easily piece together at least 10 different games based on people's perception of various players' performances.

McCray, Jefferson, Scott, Peterson, Taylor, LaFell seem to fall somewhere between all-world and Charleston Southern.

Agreed!!!

Also, did anyone else notice that it seemed like they were bringing Hatcher IN on 3rd downs, many of which were passing downs, as opposed to the common logic many espoused about Hatcher in on running downs, and Taylor in on passing downs.
