I guess we are all retracting the "Sark is an idiot for having his big recruiting weekend during the LSU game" comments, huh?

Your boy Moustache has been on a roll since Saturday. He's like Hitler in Inglorious Basterds.

It was a great move, because although they lost, they competed with a top 10 SEC team in his first game. If Locker stays for his senior year, lots of Freshmen will be interested in next season.

UW may actually be a legitimate threat in the PAC10 as early as next season if they keep improving this season.

If I were being recruited, I would have been impressed with the atmosphere Saturday night. Washington is usually a pretty good venue, but they were fired up for the Tigahs. I don't come away from many road trips with this much respect for a school's fans. Gotta respect that.

It was a shrewd move on his part. First, it was guaranteed to be a good crowd since the Washington fans would be eager to see what kind of team they would have with the new coaching staff. If they would have been blown out, he could sell the crowd and chance of early playing time if the program hopes to compete with the LSU's of college football. If the game was competitive, which it turned out to be, he could sell the atmosphere and chance to help make the difference between winning and losing to one of the elite teams in college football. If they had won the game it would have been easy to sell the do you want to be a part of this message.

The only real negatives I see are that classes don't start at UW until Sept. 30, and it is so early in the season that kids will have fresher memories of other visits. I think not being able to show off student life at UW will cost them some recruits.

Hopefully, Joshua Shaw looked across the sideline and thought "I could take over the corner opposite Peterson and we could be badass. And I could practice with him next year and learn from him. Nothing better than playing alongside the best."
