a CB who gets 6-7 passes completed on him cannot have a good game, let alone a great game

do you agree or disagree?

He had a very good game. If a receiver is thrown a 6-yard pass, the DB should do exactly what Peterson did.

None of the passes were long and most of them were due to Chavis bullshite zone defenses where he had PP playing 10 yards off the reciever.

He isn't Champ Bailey yet, but he will be great.

Great open field tackles, great pass break ups when he was close to the receiver.

But far too many passes completed against him. Someone has convinced me though that this is the scheme's fault not necessarily him giving a giant cushion for the receiver.

He didn't have a great game but he played well for someone who is forced to play 10-15 yards off the ball every fricking play.

i will certainly say that the soft scheme we ran contributed a great deal, HOW-EVA, i won't say he played awesome like everyone is saying either.

depends...is he being told to play 10 yards off the line and then having quick slants thrown at him all night?

if he isn't playing 10 yards off the line did he knock the ball down or make a quick tackle?

i say good game

Locker threw the ball 45 times, so 6-7 passes completed on him isnt that bad. it didnt seem like he was in horrible position on any of them. hes a solid tackler too.

B- for today imo fwiw.

they threw a shite ton of slants his way. chavis had him 10 yards at least off the LOS he made the sure tackle EVERY TIME. when playing man he made the pass break up EVERY TIME.

where you watching Patrick Patterson instead of Peterson?

First of all, the veracity of that statement is questionable. Second of all, the meaning of "passes completed on him" is exceedingly vague, especially given that LSU played a great deal of zone this evening. Third, even if the statement were true (after properly defining the ambiguous phrases contained therein), only an observer with very little knowledge of football would endorse it.

PP the safety looked pretty damn good IMO. PP the corner, meh. Leslie needs to move him over. Reggie Nelson v 2.0 (Eric Berry comparison is too cliche)
