I will be in Shreveport for the game this Sat. Anyone know where I can get some good boudin?

i'm from shreveport and try to defend it when necessary, but I can't think of one place that even sells boudin off the top of my head... best bet is to stop in port barre at Bourques if coming to and from games and freeze it, if possible.

Ah well. Thanks for the info.

It looks like Best Stop in Scott ships. I'll have to go that route.

You can find it in most grocery stores next to the Jimmy Dean Sausages. But I would not use the word "quality" or "good."

Edit: Maxwell's Market on Line is the only place in Shreveport with quality Andouille. I'm making gumbo right now. They might have boudin. You could call them.

your are right. it's fake. i know in arkansas when the gas station says "boudain" that's fake. you frickers really think no one from south la has ever transplanted to "yankee land" and sells boudin. the crawfish here suck as well. narrow, conceited minded assholes.

Would you feel better had we said shite Boudin?

The crap sold in the stores is pretty much that.. Crap.. The OP asked for BEST STOP QUALITY!! Not that mush in a casing they sell at those places you mention.. NO you cannot find quality Boudin in Shreveport.

haha, I even said I was from Shreveport and tried to defend it when necessary.. but not for boudin.

I don't consider manda or richard boudin, good or quality boudin.

Interesting that they have reviewed places in Texas, Florida and even Oregon but have ZERO listings for the Shreveport area..

It would be nice to have a place to get some good boudin up here. I always stock up on my way back from BR to home. I make a stop at Billy's and Ray's and get it frozen to save for later. I'll be having some on Saturday night while camping at the lake and watching my Tigers.
