1 possible SPOILER for District 9.

So if you've seen District 9 already then your aware the ending set up a sequel. What's your prediction for District 10?

I think like Christopher promised he will return to Earth in 3 years and bring along his son who is now a teenage prawn. He will seek revenge on the humans who used the prawns as science experiments. I hope the sequel will show a balanced view of the Prawnish Problem, but having seen the original I have to say that it's just going to be more bleeding-heart pro-prawn multispeciel claptrap. Hey we didn't ask them to land here. Typical Hollywood pro-prawn agenda.

Well...That is what they called the place that they relocated the evicted Prawns to.

I wonder if Wickes will be healed.

This thread definitely ranks on the most misleading thread ever list.

I haven't seen 9, so I didn't know that's what happened.
Makes sense now

Personally I am a fan of District 9: Christopher Johnston's revenge.

I vote no on the sequel, it's unnecessary.

No it isn't a set up for a sequel. Its like saying Rorschach's Journal being found at the end of Watchmen insured a sequel.

You obviously haven't seen District 9, since District 10 is mentioned in the first 10 minutes of the movie.

Would be funny if they come back and they are not prawns.

Maybe they were also changed by the black liquid and they actually look different.

Maybe the Real prawns take over entire worlds by introducing the black liquid into the water supplies.

That would be more than a little bit of a rip off from the X-files, but it already is a rip off of the X-files.

In the X-files, black liquid was used by aliens to take over the human population. Although slightly different since the X-files black liquid caused a new alien to basically eat your insides and incubate inside your body.

Not sure where a sequel would go. They clearly have much more advanced technology and weapons, so they would kick our arse if they come back mad.

And coming back just to pick up 10 million prawns and leaving would be boring.

SPOILERS -Just look at the end of this movie. You have Christopher go back to his home planet for help. You still have 2.5 million prawns on earth. You still have Wikus (sp?) transforming into a prawn. You see him make the flower for his wife that implies to her that he's still out there. Lots of plot pieces left open for there not to be a sequel. Plus CJ promissed him he be back in 3 years.

Not to mention the great reviews and money it has made. A sequel is money in the bank. I'm looking forward to it.

Just because there are "loose" ends, doesn't mean it needs a sequel. I think it ended quite well and people can decide on their own if Wikus was ever cured, or if Christopher ever came back.

Mostly, I'm against a sequel because 90% of the time, movie producers and studios don't know how to handle one.

90% chance a sequel to this movie would blow IMO.
