Hey guys birthday is rollin' around in October and would love to come down for a LSU game and also take in some great culture,Louisiana cuisine, and of course drinking! I was thinking about the Auburn game instead of watching Tulane but my question for tickets would be how do the rows align in the upper decks. For example does it go by numbers, then A-Z then AA-ZZ,etc? Any help would be great on info for great places to eat and see in Baton Rouge and I can't wait to get down this year,I just wish my last name was Renaux instead of Renaud.haha

If you can get tickets to any game, the Florida game is in October. The Tulane game will be a snoozer. Auburn is always fun.

I don't know about the numbers, but I'm almost certain XYZ is before AA BB CC.

The tailgating experience is better than a restaurant on gameday, but the most recommended places on campus are The Chimes and Walk-on's. If you are getting in on Friday, see if there is anything going on at The Varsity or in Tigerland.

Maybe bring this up again when its getting closer to your trip. There are a lot of threads like this during the middle of the season. I know what it's like to plan a trip to Baton Rouge for a big football game. Have a good time.

This won't help you with the rows, but here is the seating chart and you can click on any section and see what the view looks like:

I became a fan of the Tigers back during the Rohan Davey days. His athleticism and the teams overall speed and swagger caught my eye.The lore of Tiger stadium at night and how they wore white at home. There is a lot of FSU fans up here and I wanted to be different.

I'm also of french-canadian heritage and in some weird way I feel connected to Louisiana and the culture down there.

Anyways, thanks for the feedback guys and I can't wait to get down there.Geaux Tigers!

Just keep reading the board and you'll get ideas for your trip. The Food and Drink Board can give you some good ideas on resturants and tailgaiting, too.

If you'll be here for a few days I'd recommond a day and night in New Orleans. Much more to see, eat and do.

Hit the road early tiger stadums about an hour drive from New Orleans.

On Game day forget the resturants.. Tiger stadiums the only place to be.

Tulane used to be a rival back in the day, but no longer is. The game is not competitive and, accordingly, the stadium will be half empty by halftime (and won't ever really be full from the outset).

Auburn is always big. Go to that one if you have to choose between those two. If you go to the Tulame game, you'll leave wondering what all of the hype over LSU home games exists.

Easy choice. The campus will be "buzzing" for Aub. Tickets shouldn't be that hard to come by but might be a little expensive if you want your tickets in hand before you get to campus.

I agree with an earlier poster and stay the weekend in N.O. and just rent a vehicle and drive to the stadium (very easy 1 hour drive up 1-10, basically just follow the guys with the LSU car flags).

Where in New England are you? I am near New Haven, season ticket holder. I have two extras to the Auburn game because I am sitting in a friends box. e-mail at geaux_1@yahoo.com if you need them. Sorry, using my florida tix, but you never know, last mintue things come up and sometimes I can't make it but it would only be about a two weeks notice

Hey, I created this walking map tour for a visitor coming to campus by bus. It starts at the old Alex Box Stadium lot where busses drop people off, winds through campus to some areas you might want to visit, and ends up at the South Entrance of Tiger Stadium (visitor's entrance).

I hope it helps.

Edit: Fixed link.
