I think all would agree a ga loss followed by a fl win would put us right back in the BCSC hunt than would a ga win followed by a fl loss. With that being said would you try to somehow save the legs of our starters in the ga game so that we are not to tired and bruised when we come out the next week against fl? In other words try to grind out a win at ga with mainly second stringers.

This is the stupidest shite I've heard today (it's early, though).

Play second stringers against the UNIVERSITY OF GEORGIA?

Frick that!
We need to win those two after they hung the L on us last year.

I've got an even better idea, we don't want to be injured for the championship game so maybe we should only play 2nd string all year ... yeah, that'll have us plenty ready

Just saying. Winning both , esp back to back is gonna be incredibly tough. Coming out of GA having gone full force (battered and bruised) win or lose is going to make trying to beat FL the very next week that more difficult. Be honest, wouldn't u take a Ga loss and a FL win right now over a Ga win and a FL loss?

I don't wanna take either loss, but if we do lose and can avenge that lost in the title game not really a biggie as far as I'm concerned.

But you don't play a game made of mostly second stringers against ANY SEC opponent, it's the SEC anything can happen on any given Saturday.

A better scenario would be use everything you got against UGA, cause you know you will lose against UF.

I wouldn't bother making the trip. Forfeiting the game would give us two weeks to prepare for Florida. The money we save from not making the trip would be enough to send the entire band to road games.

I love this board.

I think this year the practice squad players see meaningful time in the actual games

How did playing the second string work out for y'all at home last year? Funny, it didn't appear to be a "grind it out" type of game to me.

LOL. More aggie than Tiger I suppose. But seriously:

You play to win, one game at a time. Conference games, especially road conference games are equally important. Survive and advance.

You hold nothing back for personnel, and you use the people whose talents play best for the opponent/game plan created to give you the best chance to win.

You might hold back a play or a set of plays that go against the tendancies you have shown to outwit the other guys. But you don't sit people down to get them ready for a big game next week.

That's the answer I have to the question. Why you think the question was a good one and wouldn't get you hammered is one question I can't answer.
