What is the difference between a hoagie,a grinder,a poboy

That's what I thought but someone was trying to prove me wrong. Saying something about oil and vinegar is what makes the difference.

I told him I could put oil and vinegar on my pizza but that don't make it a calzone

Well, you're more likely to see things like cured meats, along with oil and vinegar and pickled hot peppers on a northeastern type sandwich, than you will a poboy. So, there's at least a little something to that.

I always heard that they were the same type of sandwiches, just different names for each region of the country.

If the hoagie is like the small pieces of bread that I buy at the store sometimes, I think I would have to shoot someone if they tried to serve me a real po-boy on that.
