Incredible - Lose one game. Most likely Fla.
Good - Lose two games. Most likely Fla. and then one of the three road games at Ga, Ole Miss, or Bama.
Realistic - Lose three games Fla, and two of the three road games.
You never know. I want to win them all. But, with a QB that has started two games that's how I see it.

With all the talk on how we will lose to Florida on this board, I think we should just forfeit the game. That way we will be good and rested for the remainder of the season

difference from last year to this is we have a quarterback. Our record would have been a whole lot different last year. JL tried to force a play where there wasn't one (see Alabama game). There is a term in sports call "Seeing the Field". It means that the player has a total grasp of what is happening in the moment. JJ has shown that ability see (Bowl Game) The gators don't have a gimmie win coming to Baton Rouge. Percy harvin is gone, and he was a big reason for the gators win over the Tigers. Urban didn't play his freshman runningbacks much before that game. The defense had to deal with somthing they didn't see on tape. Our new Defensive Coordinator has alot of experience. Last year was a reading defense we're back to an attack defense. The Gators will see a total different team in BR this year, one closer to the year before, than last year.

Whomever the QB is, I think the offense will score enough points. How many games the Tigers win or lose will be strictly up to what the defense does. If Chavis can get them in a scheme they can understand without having to think too much, we'll be OK. That's the season in a nutshell...

I think it all rests on our defense. Our offense is going to score point and could be one of the most porlific offense in the country if JJ can keep up whats hes shown us so far week in and week out. If our defense can just hold teams under 21 points this year, I have no doubt we win atleast 10 games. If our defence cant quite do that we win 8-9, and if our defense sucks again which is unlikely we go 7-5. Thats how I see it and I personally see us winning 10 games.

If this team wins 9 games against this year's schedule, it will be an outstanding season.

You just dont play the top 2 teams from both the West and the East (with 3 of those 4 games being on the road), plus the rest of the SEC meatgrinder and expect to do better than that.

FL returns virtually everyone on their 2-deep from a Natl Championship team (including a once in a lifetime player at QB), so even though we get them at home we will be big underdogs.

Now if we played Ole Miss' or Alabama's schedule, I say 11 wins would be likely.

I'm happy with any of the above.

Last year was probably more D than pick 6's that lost some games.

FL, GA, Ole Miss - D couldn't stop em.

Bama - pick 6 seemed to be the differece maker.

Why the hell are so many people giving that game to Fla.? And why the hell do so many people not have faith in JJ's ability? If you know anything, you can look at the 2 games he has started and see the maturity, poise, and control he has. I know, just 2 games, but you can just see it in him. Will he still make some mistakes? Sure. But after a couple of warm-up games he will be ok. Probrably better than ok. Don't concede any games just yet!

Without seeing the games, I agree with this. I still hope we win them all but I don't expect to win them all with our youth at QB. The only thing that will be upsetting is if we lose one of these games in an unacceptable fashion. I am tired of getting beat in the last minute of the game by a hail mary. I hope never to see that again.

I'm just glad there are a few games to "warm up" with until the SEC grind hits. Hopefully the kinks will be worked out both on D and at the QB spot. If they both start working quickly then I see a pretty good season.

I'm just tired already of hearing all the FL this FL that crap. The only game that I see them having an issue with is LSU, and then somehow they get a bye week before coming into town.

Why does “realistic” equal “negative prediction”? I think picking a 10-2 season is “realistic” even if it would constitute a “good” season.

Florida is most likely a loss (I know, that’s why the play the games, but let’s be honest, it’s a likely loss). We are probably even with UGa, Bama, and Ole Miss. Arkansas and Vandy are games we should win, but you never know. So it all keys on those three games. If we go 2-1 in those games, 10-2. 1-2, LSU is 9-3.

A great year is going 12-1 and winning the SEC.

Good post, Celtic.

The Florida game will be another fight to the death. Don't underestimate the fact that they have to come and beat us in Tiger Stadium. It's a toss-up, but I like our chances.

BTW, I'm very ready to see Tebow go pro. He's a nightmare to play against.

If our bowl win gets us to 10 victories then it's a good year imho. Hope for more but accept no less.

I don't understand why everyone is so eager to concede the game to Florida. Yes, they have their entire 2-deep returning on defense and they have Tebow returning on offense.

But to be honest, Florida's D did not do much to impress me last year. IMO, they were an above average D supplemented by an amazing offense. This offense does return Tebow, but it also loses Harvin and Murphy. Florida's game plan is going to be very simple next year in that it will involve a great deal of running by Demps and Rainey and short passed to the TE. And they play AT Death Valley.

Incredible - 12-1 with a loss to Florida either at DV or in Atlanta
Good/Realistic - 10-2 with a loss to Florida and a road loss to Ole Miss
Disheartening - 9-3 with losses to Florida, Georgia, and/or Alabama and Ole Miss

because they return everyone from what was the #9 defensive in country last year???
Not to mention majority of those kids were young so they are only going to get better.

#9 Total Defense
#20 Pass Defense
#15 rush defense
#4 scoring defense
#3 turnover margin
#32 in sacks
#3 in red zone defense

I would say they are going to have a better defense than even Bama
