If you're keeping up with the Union renovation (or if you haven't been and you're interested), you can check out a photo gallery of ongoing construction.

The most recent pics are here: LINK

*This affects gameday for some fans, which I why I posted it on the sports board.

i have nothing to do with the union...but i suspect that quality construction takes time. plus, renovations are always more troublesome. i just pray that they're doing it right.

I worked for my dads company (summer job)
which was doing some of renovations. They complained that LSU would come in and want things changed in middle of the construction.

Also, if something did not work/fit and it needed to be changed. It would take LSU officials a week or longer to get back and give either the ok or not.

Just some of things that I saw first hand, and I have heard about.

Damn, I didn't know they were doing this. It looks really sweet but I wished they had kept it in the design of the other buildings on campus. I mean the thing looks out of place to me. A beautiful building I'm sure but not fitting to campus.

I don't think it matched originally though. I think it looks great. Or will look great once done.

Correct. I was intending to say if they were going to renovate I wished they had kept the traditional bldg style.

Change orders at the state level take a bit of time as one might hope so that public funds are being used properly.

Also, they'd be done with the building if they completely shut it down and did it in one full swoop. It is coming along nicely though.

tell TAF. They are footing 50% of the band hall bill. The library needs to be completely knocked down to start with

Yea I know but these people who blame the construction crew for the length it has taken don't realize its not their fault.

Reminds me of thread a few months ago that went like 15 pages and people blamed construction crew calling them lazy and shite.
