Shoe Sole pastry recipe



Anyone ever heard of this? Talking to a friend who said he used to get them from a bakery in Lutcher/Gramercy area. Said it was something like phyllo dough with caramalized sugar and pecans. Called them shoe soles, but said it could go by another name.

first time i have seen them was this weekend at the farmers market. its like a buenello, but instead of being fried its baked like a tortilla. bought some for my mom but havent tried it yet
