Metal sheds converted to house
(Posted on 7/8/09 at 11:01 am)
I am looking to build a metal shed and convert it into a outdoor kitchen / Mother in law sweet. I would love to see some pictures of a conversion shed that anyone may have out there. Also if there is anyone who knows a good contractor to put one up let me know. Thanks TD OT for the help.

If you're converting a metal shed to a mother-in-law sweet make sure you have an abandoned vehicle in your front lawn please. An old washer/dryer with a tree growing through it is a nice touch as well for curbside appeal.

I have seen a few people with large tracts of land build a 40x60 metal building and put an appartment inside to live in while the house is being built and then use it as a guest house afterwards. I was considering doing the same but ended up buying a house already built and will sit on the land for a while. I wouldn't want to live in a metal building as a permanent residence but as a guest house/party room it has potential.
