boiling crabs and shrimp

any suggestions on how long to boil and soak?

Crabs boil 10 min soak 20
Shrimp boil 2 - 2 1/2 minutes if they are good size, and soak 6-8 minutes. If they are smaller, less time then of course.

I boil crabs for 10-12min and soak for 35-40min.
For shrimp, I bring the water to a boil, put the shrimp in, then bring it to a boil again, then cut it off and soak. If you boil shrimp too long, they will be hard to peel.

If you have kids or some people who can'tdon't know how or don't want to peel shrimp, get a fish monger to dehead and devein them. Throw some of those in with your regular shrimp.
