He didn't make the travel squad for Omaha?

He didn't make the trip to Omaha? anyone else not make it? Are you only allowed to bring 25-man travel roster?

We need to get some of these kids out here playing for the Santa Barbara Forresters. They've won back-to-back World Series' and are coached by Conan Horton. I sure would love to root on some Tigers over the summers.

That can be devestating for a kid. While the Alaska league is an excellent league, you know he wants to be in Omaha with his teammates. It makes me sick to my stomach to think about being in that situation. (very tough to make that 25 man roster)

Hopefully he gets chances in the future to be in Omaha making a run. I hope he can push through and obvious dissapointment.

Dang near a 2.00 WHIP. Ouch. REALLY needs to start working on the command.

He hasn't been on the active roster since the SEC tourney.

25 man roster is the limit for the postseason.

Pretty much anyone not on the travel squad that is returning next year is out playing with their summer teams. You can only have 25 guys on the travel squad. During the regular season you can carry a bullpen catcher that doesn't count toward the 25, but this is not the case for the post season. So when they added Farnsworth to the active roster Matulis was the odd man out.

they have the Shortstop from Missouri on that team, Mike Liberto. He's from the New Orleans area and played at Delgado before going to Mizzou.

So which 10 players didn't make the travel roster for the CWS?

Delatte
Dozar
Dishon
Riedie
Matulis
Zeigler
Didier
Mathews
Nicholson
Alsup

Just my guess...

He's going to be a familiar name next year in the rotation

Farnsworth made it.
I think Dozar did as well.

I know Zeigler won't be playing summer ball and Didier probably isn't either. So I'm looking for the other guys on rosters in different leagues that LSU players are usually in.

So I guess 9 players didn't make it instead of 10 since Farnsworth is there and doesn't count against the 25 limit.

No, Farnsworth does count, because it's the post season, that's why Matulis is not there.

Dozar is on the roster, I think the other 9 you mentioned are the ones that didn't make it. I think it's only nine because Jordan Brown quit at the beginning of the year but he still counted against the 35-man roster.

Delatte
Dishon
Riedie
Matulis
