Amnesia IPA

I'm not trying to take beauxregards beer review here but people should be warned about some beers.
I picked up a six pack of this yesterday to try it out. If you haven't had it before, simply don't. Its horrible.
When you first smell an IPA, there are scents that should be there, but with this one, there was nothing.
The beer was very watery and plain. It had about the flavor of a domestic light beer but without the smoothness. Also, the hops were just very very weak. It didn't have to be a hop bomb but its an IPA. The hops should stand out. I'm a big IPA drinker but on a scale of 1 to 10, this gets a 2.5.

what do you rate jackamo? I tried it last week and thought it was pretty good.

Same thing happened to me about two months ago. I always like trying different IPA's, and this is the worst by far (I wouldn't even call it an IPA). Why is this crap available in Louisiana, while Stone and Dogfish head aren't?

If Stone/Dogfish head are a 10, then Jockimo is around a 4-5 IMO. Amnesia would be a 0.

I hear a lot of bad reviews for it, but I actually enjoy it. I would give it a 7. Not my first choice but it can be one of the better choices in places with a small beer selection.
My go to IPA's are ACME IPA, Hop Rod Rye (by Bear Republic I think), and Sierra Nevada Torpedo IPA.

What are your normal IPA's since we can't get Stone/Dogfish around here?

Stone is coming! Shouldn't be too much longer, I don't think.
Racer 5 IPA is a good one that can be found in BR.

Bear republic is probably the best I've had that's available in LA (but one 22 oz bottle usually runs about 4-5 bucks). As far a six packs, I usually go with the flying fish/snake dog IPA (which isn't all that great, but slightly better than Jockimo IMO).

Yeah, the Snake Dog isn't bad.
That will be great when Stone gets here.
I think Bear Rupublic makes both Racer 5 (which I have tried and liked), and Hop Rod Rye. Hop Rod Rye is actually a double IPA. With the IBU checking in at 90+, it'll get your attention.

I like full sails IPA. Odells also makes a solid IPA, so does breckenridge.
I had a torpedo this past weekend and it wasn't that great.

I still haven't had any... but I have a few for a rainy day. Not that it needs to be raining to drink beer.

I had the same reaction to Amnesia when I tried it a while back......It is named correctly though...its a very forgettable beer.
Jockomo is really a Pale Ale IMO. Very weak.
Full Sail and Lagunitas IPAs are my go to. Sierra Nevada Torpedo is an average IPA.

The chimes by campus' beer of the week (bottle) is dogfish head 90 minute imperial ipa. Or at least it was last friday.
