The rumors I heard from local high school coaches in the New Orleans area is that the fences are down. Since Les Miles is recruiting on a national scale, he's letting other schools in according to Burton Burns, the Bama assistant and New Orleans native.

I defended LSU stating that we get who we want out of LA but now I'm starting to wonder if this may not be true with some of the kids we are losing.

Since I don't follow recruiting closely anymore what do ya'll think?

You will never get them all but we get most of the ones that we want. The ones that we lost haven't hurt that bad (ie Joe McKnight). I think Les Myles' recruiting speaks for itself.

I guess it's axiomatic that you can't truly recruit on a national scale and build a fence.

Unless you're offering 187.

79,if you don't follow recruiting much anymore you shouldn't post this kinda of stuff.

If Miles is recruiting more Nat'l it's because our instate talent is down this year.

Think about why would LSU NOT want a instate kid?

I didn't want to start a new thread, so since this is titled in state recruiting, I'll ask here.

What are your thoughts on 'll prospect Jarvis Landry? Both as a player, and who he likes, LSU I'm assuming.

Who the hell has Burton Burns landed from New Orleans that will be in an Alabama uniform that LSU wanted in his Clemson days and his Alabama days?

Burton Burns gets more New Orleans love for doing absolutely nothing than anyone I can remember. Hell, Frank Wilson scares me more than Burns.

Reed or Landry? I know Reed was supposed to be at ut, but then why ask about Landry?

Miles has begun the recruiting nationwide. cherry pickin. These out of towners wont get an earfull of LSU all season, like the in state guys. its important to get the name out there early. in state guys know LSU. Plus, its June. we have 8 months til signing day. im sure we will make it up to the in state guys.

What do ya'll do in Tenn besides guitar strumming and molesting barn yard animals? Apparantly ya'll don't play much football!
