Tulane, the 3rd place team in CUSA, disagrees.

Three cheers for ECU, Rice, and Southern Miss!!!

Six of the eight national seeds advance as well. They didn't do a good job sending Virginia out to Irvine though, its no surprise they took out one of those national seeds.

I've got to hand it to Louisville and ECU. I didn't think they deserved to host, but they managed to win their regionals, weak as Louisville's might have been.

Still, all things considered, there were just waaaay too many things wrong with the brackets to give the selection committee that much credit. Deciding on the 16 teams who hosted doesn't even begin to delve into most of the really legitimate gripes.

Yes, that Tim Weiser (AD for K State) out of the Big 12 who led the selection committee was money! 8 teams out of 10 selected from the Big 12 and only one made it to the Supers, and THAT team, which was given the #1 overall seed, needed 25 innings in one game and a 9th inning comeback to make it out of their bracket.

Kudos to CUSA. Poop on the Big 12.

I still and continue to say that Florida got a gift for the Super Regionals, even before they drew USM. Georgia Tech was slumping and the Gators are probably the least deserving national seed in years.

The national seed should have went to Ole Miss and its not even close.

um, why?

I think Florida had a higher RPI (easily), ISR, SOS, and 10-run-ruled Ole Miss in the SECT. If Ole Miss wanted a national seed they should not have gone 2 and out.

I do think OU was a little bit of a stretch. I picked 7 of the 8 national seeds correctly, with OU being the wrong one. Guess they played out that way as well. Probably should have gone to UVA.

What he said.

On that note, who among the NCAA baseball elite did Virginia piss off? I saw a graphic that said their last three regional draws were all to the West Coast. They've traveled over 5k miles each year. So much for that whole "Regional" concept where they're concerned. Of course, they can't see fit to send Southern to Houston or Ole Miss for a change of scenery.
