Any of you gurus know if this guy is on the level?
Seems awfully soothing, and, well, optimistic.
I'm all for optimism if it's warranted.

Never put too much stock in what The Economist says - its more of a left-slanted magazine than a newspaper.
The articles are often witty and more interesting to read than say the Wall Street Journal.

I don't get it.
The Economist's lead article says that Obama is in danger of overstepping, and wrecking the dynamism of the American economy.
But you are saying we shouldn't put much stock in that. Why not? Are you a supporter of the direction Obama is taking us?

I'm a bit confused. Are you responding to my post?
If so, I was making a very generalized statement about the publication, not specifically referencing Obama's administrative decisions. FWIW I think very few people know what to do in an economic crisis like this one and Obama hasn't shown too many signs of being among them.
