Why put CJ in in that situation?

Wouldn't it have been safer to use Ott first. They almost gave me a fricken heart attack !

He went with statistics. Jones was only going to pitch to the lefty wether or not he struck him out or walked him.

I'm not one to question anything that any LSU coach does but I did not feel safe with this. I was cheering on Chad Jones but I said over and over.."I'm not comfortable with Chad in this situation."

Maybe Ott needed more time to warm up

Lefty-lefty match up. If CJ gets the K or even a grounder for an out, it works in LSU's favor. Plus, why not? Let the guy get some pitches in.

One of my friends told me it was a "dumb move to put in Jones there"...how dumb would it have been for a K?

Jones was only coming to face one batter, regardless of what happened. Next to a strikeout or a put out, a walk was about the best thing that could have happened.

That and yes, Ott needed more time. I believe JOnes had already been down in the pen in case LC couldn't get out of the 8th.

Not a horrible move. Jones needs the work. We are going to rely on him heavily for the duration of the '09 season.

After all that Chad Jones has to face in football I don't think pressure was an issue.

Plus it was lefty vs. lefty.

Makes sense but it sure had my heart beating when he was in that situation and I was scared to death after the walk. and
coleman and Ott were great tonight

I don't understand how that was really a true pressure situation, what's the worst that could have happened?

For all the RANT's clueless geeks, it's called coaching.

Don't you geeks understand the SEC tournament is only practice for the real thing--the up coming regional.

I'm starting to think some rantards would rather win the sec tourny than the regional
