Carpenter is back, and it'll be interesting to see how long Glass Joe lasts. I'm only optimistic because it was a ribcage injury.

The next couple of weeks with Carpenter back and the outfield getting healthy again will go a long way in giving Cards fans a clue as to whether they'll actually be contenders in August.

I'm gonna say...

Cubs 6 11 0
Cards 4 7 1

Carpenter goes 6, gives up 2 earned, leaves with the lead, and the pen gives up the lead late.

Wow with the exception of the last inning, I just watched 17 innings of the worst baseball back to back I have ever seen. Cubs not going deep hardly in any counts, swinging at the first ball, terrible, no offense lately.

Not having Ramirez stings, but combine that with the fact that no one, else, and I mean NO ONE, is stepping up right now. I just hope they will still be in striking distance when Ramirez comes back. I am sure they will but damn right now they are terrible on offense.

Fukudome looked like dog shite against the fat hispanic.

Mikey, why do cubs fans only come out in droves to post a gay song when they win?

Hell even the retarded stros fans made it to 2 pages

+1

Offense has been as bad as they can get over the past two games. Hopefully, the Cubs just stay afloat until they get over their injuries. Then they need to figure out how to get another bat and another arm before the trade deadline.

Totally agree, they need another bat, hopefully Freel can give them something. Hoffpauir needs more time, but where?

Exactly, not to even mention they have a utility guy (Jake Fox) in AAA hitting .400 with 17 HRs right now that doesn't have a place to play either. If DLee keeps this bullshite up much longer, Lou may not have another choice but to play Hoffpauir. In fact, Lee could end up being involved in a trade if they feel Hoffpauir can play everyday (I admit, that's a stretch and pretty premature at this point).

I agree, I love Fox, but like you said where? I just hope they can get it together. Fontenot is not getting it done, Theriot is doing good enough, but Fontenot has got to step up. D Lee as well, very frustrating as a lifelong Cubs fan, because finally they have the talent to be good for a while, but I don't know how much longer before this window closes. I am very premature with some of this I know but very upsetting right now they way they are playing. That being said 11-6 in this month.

Hopefully the Cubs can bounce back against these jokers. They're ahead of us in the standings now.
