I personally think Fallon is pretty hysterical in sketches, but he just can't pull off late night hosting.
I would have to think that Leno and Letterman would both be terrible in sketch comedy.

Horrible. And SNL has bee awful for too long now. It used to go in cycles, but I guess the 'younger generation' just doesn't know funny anymore? Wondering if it'll ever be good again.

While I agree with you that SNL has only had a few flashes of brilliance over the past 10 years or so, I have a feeling that this comment:

He has good guest's though. I love his goal of trying to get every member of Saved By The Bell on his show at least once
