With all the drama over Andre Debose last year, I pose this face off:

Trovon Reed (2010) vs. Andre Debose (2009)

Who ya got?

As in who is a better player, or who would I rather have on the team?

Both.

There was a ton of talk on here last year about how Debose was a one of a kind player (which I agree with), and some even said he would be a better catch for LSU than Rueben Randle (which I don't agree with).

So, with Trovon Reed being a similar player to Debose and with LSU being in the mix again, who is better IYO and who would you rather on your team?

well florida would say Debose. LSU still has a shot at Reed so thats what most here would probably say.

Debose was a top 20 prospect. Reed most likely isnt.

I wouldnt agree that Debose was a "one of a kind player". he was billed as "the next percy harvin" so how is he one of a kind. and if russell shepard was a WR he would be the same type of player as Debose.

I like reed alot, and he would have to have a heck of a senior year for him to jump over debose and how much i liked him as a prospect

Not to be a smart arse but Debose was ranked outside the top 20 and Reed is ranked like 17 or so right now. With a great senior year he would likely move up or at least stay ranked higher than Debose.

Debose.

Reed is by no means a slouch. Dude can ball. Debose I think has a much thicker frame though.

Debose has better top end speed and Reed has more wiggle.

I would take Debose just bc/ he's got that elite gear he can go to that most guys don't have. Both are ballers though.

So is Reed overrated, Debose underrated, or is the 2010 class just weaker than the 2009 class?

I think that Debose is just on a game-breaking level that not many HS athletes are on, let alone Reed.

Also, when I see receivers that can take a game over, I see someone like Jarvis Landry making a bigger splash than Reed.

I remember reading someone's post last week where he said that Jarvis Landry was already the best receiver in the state (meaning he's already better than Reed). It seems a little far-fetched considering how highly touted Reed is, but Landry must be a hell of a player if that's the case. Could he be the number 1 prospect for the entire 2011 class?

I have seen both of them workout and run routes side by side, and I would say Jarvis is definitely a better prospect than Reed.

Reed is very polished though, and Jarvis is a bit raw.

Still, I would agree that it is close (regardless of age)

this 2011 LA class is going to propel Shea Dixon to Tom Lemming national status.
