What's considered big for 8th grade

8th grader at my kids school. 6' 1" 240 lbs. What u think?

Nick James? That big in 8th grade? Impressive. Kid is good. Has a mean streak. Needs to work on speed tho.

Is he supposed to be an 8th grader? If he has failed twice, then it isn't nearly as impressive.

my 8th grade team had a 6'4 260 13 year old and a 6'6 270 12 year old. that was in 83. no joke.

Actually he is a non holdback. Everyone else in his class is a year older.

the funny thing was our field was covered with fire ants and when we did push ups we would get stung sometimes. the biggest one would cry like a bitch. man i wish i had his size. would had tried to play at LSU.

I think he's either been purposely been held back by his parents, or has flunked a grade or two.

I substituted at Winnfield and had a kid that was 6' 1" and 235 pounds at 12 years old and I didnt believe he was that age until I looked up his birthday and he is a stud on the middle school football field

There's a 8th grader at Episcopal thats 6'3"or 4" that goes 215-220. Really scary/good BB player and is at Spring FB right now.
