specific crawfish boil question

is it permissible to boil two sacks of crawfish (separately) in the same water? If so, do you need to re-season the water at all after the first batch?
I have never boiled for a large group of people but have been asked to next weekend and didn't know if anyone would object to that.

Wash them well, and no problem.
After first batch is done, add half as much to the second batch to replenish the water with spices, but not overspice.
You could always just taste the water, you'll know if it needs more or not.

thanks--- that is close to what I was thinking. I want to make the second batch spicier than the first so I figured I would re-season by about half with the dry mix and the liquid boil and then add a bottle of hot sauce. I am hoping with a little longer soak time they should be nice and spicy.

I've boiled 6 or 7 sacks in the same water with no problems. They just keep getting better.

Just curious why you want the second batch spicier?
A lot of people want the first batch spicier so once the 2nd batch comes out their guest are full and “burned out” & they have left overs for etoufee or what ever.

There are going to be a lot of women and kids there and I want to get them fed off of the first batch and boil the second batch (which I will probably be able to eat more of) while they are all eating.
