If you liked the cartoon...don't watch it.

If you like movies....don't watch it.

I loved the cartoon. Before it got picked up by cartoon network/toonami, I used to get up at 6 am every Friday morning.

The first preview I saw of this abomination almost had me slitting my wrist. They turned a truly epic show into just another martial arts flicks with some flashes. Blah!

for all the hell anime catches, especially the mainstream type, it was a pretty damn good series.

if you've ever gotten an chance to see the unedited version it's much much more gory. that being said Gohan turning SSJ2 for the 1st time is my fav episode ever. and they fricked it up because he was set to become the most powerful dbz character ever. his SSJ genes plus the emotion from his human genes gave him more power than Goku and Vegeta but if that were the case then they most likely had to scrap the Goku vs Vegeta plotlines later.

I just don't think Gohan really ever had the want-to to be a fighter. He seemed to do it more out of necessity and for his family/friends than actually wanting to get stronger. Just didn't seem to have the drive that the full-blooded Saiyans (Goku & Vegeta) had to fight.

that's true neck but even goku said gohan had the untapped potential that no other saiyan had.

This is true. Still remember him f-ing up Raditz without a second of training in the beginning of DBZ.

Yea I really wish Gohan would have become alot better after his transformation. They made it seem like he would have been unstoppable when fighting cell.

Do they have an unedited version in English or does it have subtitles?

Yeah but only out of necessity. Fast forward from right after that until he got to the academy like 7 year later, he probably didn't so much as throw one punch during that time, while Vegeta and Goku passed him right by during that time just because they were driven to train/fight. Vegeta even noted as much in Babidi's Ship after all the trouble Gohan had with Dabura.

He might very well have had more potential than any other character on the entire show (even Goku) but at the end of your normal day, he just wasn't a fighter.

Well Goku unleased Super Sayian 3 and then the all mighty Super Sayian 4 in Dragon Ball Z GT. 4 was just god like, and made him look pretty evil actually.

I was never really a fan of the whole "mystic gohan" thing. How did Buu beat him again? I can't remember.

Gohan became a major puss after the Cell Saga. He could have become the strongest being in the universe by far.

I forget which station. All I remember is that it was shown only on that one channel at that one time, just after some random sermon show.

Only once a week and they just kept looping the Namek Saga over and over again.
