Coaches consistently said that RS will NOT be moved from the QB position...However, they did say he may be used in other positions at various times...While this may seem like an obvious statement, it was directly from coaches and is not speculation...On the subject of RS, and I know this may not matter to many on this forum, but the kid is a class act...whenever addressed by ANYONE, coaches or not, at practice, he always answered with a "yes, Sir", even when being correctd...with the RP fiasco so fresh in fans minds, thought this "little" thing should be stated...Just my opinion once again, but look for Keiland Williams to have a BIG year...word is he's past the turnover problem, and looks the part of an NFL back...Of course, that means he'd have to start and ALL of the backs looked pretty good considering they were behind a line that is still working out the kinks...

This says ALOT about the kid's character and how he was raised. Kudo's to his family for raising him right.

If JJ does not blow up this year, and position himself for early entry to the NFL after his Jr year, I think RS needs to consider a position change on his own volition.

The only other option is to have a 2-QB rotation which could be successful (JJ with a more pass-oriented package and RS with a more option-oriented package).

However, that would kill QB recruiting for the next 2 years. . . . . .

Russell Shepard is already my all time favorite LSU athlete and he hasn't even suited up yet.

That is the option and probably main reason we got Shepard. He's going to play the Perrilloux role (from 2007) come in and probably get 10 snaps or so a game at QB. Lee will probably be the primary backup if Jefferson gets hurt this year but i nyear's after this Shepard might be the true #2.

That means everything and it should matter to every LSU fan. It's a huge character trait that's essential in leaders/leadership.

I sure hope so. Have been a big fan of his and pimped him pretty hard two years ago only to have him end up doing a lot less than I expected...and I say that realizing what his yards/carry is.

I've felt he was scared to take a hit more than him having butterfingers. Hope he has a breakout year.

Totally disagree. Seriously, any brown nosing, 2 timing person, trying to get what they want, can use the word Sir.

It in no way tells me that he was "Raised right by his Family."

Im sure he is a good kid, but not because he uses the word "Sir".

The guy said in his post that he was saying whether they were coaches or not. I don't know if you own or manage anything, but you usually can tell if a person is trying to brown nose in the context in which they speak. If i was hiring someone in this day and age, it is refreshing for a young person to say "sir" Doesn't happen that often anymore.

When you have his God given gifts, he doesn't need to brown nose. He is a class act! End of story!

He may be the first to point out that virtually everyone with "God given gifts" received them from God by putting in thousands of hours of practice.

Wow, Calm down Buddy. I'm just saying that this shouldnt be made out to be this great, upstanding individual because he uses the word "Sir".

Like I said before, Im sure hes a good kid, but Im not going to make that judgment if he does or does not call me "sir".
