I know. But with Meeks making second team it loks like a popularity contest as usual.

most of the first teamers make their case last year. not saying that they don't deserve it but, if curry would have not had a successful tourney last year, do you think that he would have made it this year? i say no. marcus couldn't show much last year.

Jodie Meeks makes 2nd team. There's a joke. He can't even win the SEC p.o.y.

Not really fair. Jodie, like other notables is an excellect student athlete and community server to the childrens hospital etc.

There's a lot he went thru this season with the team and staff that is important but won't matter when there's a bias in opinion.

Thornton is a great player. Great. But so was Jodie. To say it isn't deserved is just ish. Plain and simple.

All college players do community service. That has nothing to do with this. I do think that these awards are often split like this and I don't think it is that big of a deal. MT won SEC POY and Meeks got second team all american. Congrats to both.

Meeks was the more highlighted player coming into the season. LSU plays in a small market and most of these AP voters didnt see too much of him.

Simple fact of the matter is that Thornton was better than Meeks. Defends better, creates on his own better, rebounds better.
