This kid is supposed to be a beast. Does anybody think he will see the field this year or get put in line like John Williams?

He's definitely one of the kids I'm excited to see play.

Just graduating early and already enrolling shows what type of a person he is. I think you have to give him a shot to get on the field, even if for special teams

I would guess (and it's only a guess) that he sees some mop up duty. FWIW, IMO & IMHO, CS & KW get the bulk of the carries, Murphy is the change of pace back, TH gets his touches, Ridley sits out until late in the season (at least until after the bye), Calhoun gets some mop up duty and Ford redshirts.

Ford shouldn't redshirt.

shouldn't cause we are losing a lot after this year, but should cause we don't honestly need him to play. depends on how much stock you put in dick murphey. if they think he can handle the load after cs and kw are gone than ford should be reshirted.
i think clahoun plays on special teams fo show.

Yeah I don't expect anything from Murphy--he hasn't shown much on the field and I don't understand how he got so hyped up. So that coupled with Ridley being hurt, I don't see how you could redshirt Ford.

Why?

We already have CS, KW, TH and RM carrying the ball. Calhoun is ahead of Ford in practice at this point and if he plays special teams he won't redshirt so he gets mop up duty. Barring injury, I don't see WHY Ford wouldn't get a redshirt year.

One good spring game. And I fell for it too. I hope he shows us this year that it wasn't a fluke.

LSU needs some experience @ RB for next year.

Not really. RB seems to be the one position where you don't need experience. Freshmen come in all the time and do very well. If you can play that position, you can play it.

IMO freshman running backs with little experience are the lessor evils when it comes to other positions on offense. wr and qbs have a more drastic change coming out of high school.

besids barring any major catastrophe we should be stacked at wr and qb for 2010. which defensives will have to focus on, opening up some extra running room for our "inexperienced" youth at running back.

unless ford is good enough to take time from CS and KW than with a redshirt year he could gain plenty of good experience
