Fontenot wins Cubs starting job at 2B for Cubs

and will bat sixth in the lineup and may spell relief for 3rd baseman. He and Theriot are the Cubs leaders in batting average this spring and have earned starting jobs.

Awesome. Two guys who represent LSU well. Hope the Cubs can win it all this year. Get over that playoff slump and make it all the way to the series.

My sports loyalties:
1) LSU sports - all sports
2) CUBS!! Attaboy Fontenot and Theriot - the "middle from the bayou".
3) Detroit Tigers (they won it all my senior year in HS and I have loved them since)
LAST) After skyiving, curling, and cliff diving, you have the Evil Twins, the New York Yankees and the Dallas Cowboys. May they neither one ever win a game again!

I played against Fontenot twice a year for two years in High school. Awesome player. Hit a couple of the furthest homeruns I've ever seen. Its great to know that he's starting in the Big League's now after an awesome career at LSU.
