Question about baseball tickets

I recently moved back to BR & I have a friend coming in for the spring fb game/baseball game wknd.
What is my best bet for getting some tickets for the baseball game that day? If I want to attend any other games I should get tickets at the gate? I know the spring fb game we have no worries there.
