Well, I was going to vote for Lee Domingue....

Until I ran across this little tidbit. Apparently Mr. Domingue had quite the little scheme working in Texas.

Winston "Lee" Domingue Story

yeah, and I see a lot of Lee Domingue yard signs. He's got a good image, which is why I was leaning to vote for him, but apparently that image was a little too good to be true.

I think Dan Claitor is going to get my vote now.

He's got a lot of money. I really see this race as a toss up. I was leaning towards Dan Claitor before I read this but now I may have made up my mind. I was never a fan of Linda Calogne.

Yeah me either. She started off good, but then decided she just couldn't help but run. Claitor seems like a humble, stand-up guy. Apparently he was Asst. DA in Orleans and has a degree in Finance and Law.

I really don't know much about Lee besides # 1 - a lot of money, #2 - a lot of influence in evangelical churches, # 3 - seriously shady business operations

If either the Claitor or Calogne campaigns were smart they would print out this article and do a mass mailing and let the people be the judge for themselves.

Interesting

I've crossed paths with Lee a couple of times through more than one job and find the above link hard to believe.

He didn't exactly have the most personality imho, fyi.

Someone must have, that article is from 1996 and does not contain the name "Lee".

The only thing the guy in the article has with the candidate is the last name. How did anybody connect this to Lee Domingue?

Lee is his middle name. It is the same person. I'd like to know who went & dug this up?

Actually "Lee" was very close to being indicted in Texas over this.

Sufficed to say, from what I understand, this story is only the tip of the iceberg. There are quite a few skeletons in Mr. Domingue's closet and I'm sure they'll come out as this all gets closer.

I wouldn't be totally surprised if Lee dropped out of the race before it's all said and done.

re: Well, I was going to vote for Lee Domingue....
LINK
COMMENTARY: Domingue is currently a candidate for Senate District 16 in Baton Rouge. He is campaigning to replace Dr. Bill Cassidy who was recently elected to Congress.

This is the same guy in the recent radio interview who said he had flunked out of two colleges and confessed to being an addict and a womanizer.

In Louisiana, he is multimillionaire entreprenuer Lee Domingue.

In Texas, he was a bankrupt used car dealer named Winston.

What was this guy thinking getting into a political race with a track record like that?

This newspaper article was sent in by one of our subscribers and our sources tell us that there is much more to come, stay tuned...

(Louisiana politics truly is stranger than fiction sometimes.)

Thanks for the tip. I may have to vote for Dan Claitor, my old HS classmate.
