Boards refreshing - losing *new* tags

Searched and missed it if it was posted already.
When I click on a board link, it loads and then refreshes, causing all of the *new* tags to go away and actually making me think about what posts I've already read. (The nerve!) Anyone experience this/have a fix?
I'm using Firefox 3.0.5 on Windows XP with Noscript and Adblock addons. Happens mostly on my work computer but started to do it on my home laptop as well (difference there is Vista instead of XP)

after you refresh the page, it's no longer new.

I know that. It's refreshing on its own. I click once, the page loads, then blinks like it refreshed. Doesn't happen every time though, and usually if I click "Return to Board" after posting or just manually refresh the page, it works normal.
