big misstake by Miles, this is what I have been saying ever since coach O was being discussed.

Why would Miles drop the recruiting coordinator duties from Henson's plate if the Tigers have had so much success under his watch?

so you attribute the success recruiting primarily to Henson?

if henson leaves, lane keeps a coaching job (in name only)

henson has the chance to get closer to his home and family and coach offensive line instead of tight ends which would be a step up for him and you think it has to do with the orgeron thing? the title of recruiting coordinator is almost meaningless, if it went to our best recruiter then porter or peveto would have had it, taking it away probably wouldnt have meant anything to him. Mizzou is a decent situation program wise and getting the offensive line gig would be a step up

I would hate to see Henson leave LSU. I think he is a good coach as well as a good recruiter. I would not go so far as to say his role as recruiting coordinator is meaningless. Obviously, recruiting starts with the head coach and proceeds from him but Henson was in no doubt a valuable point man in recruiting. I have high regard for Henson and I think he deserves to rise in the coaching ranks. If he gets that opportunity elsewhere then I can't hold it against him and wish him well.

Don't even infer that Earl Lane would coach tight ends. Even Les Miles couldn't be that stupid to make a move like that........

I see someone is up early. Bad dreams again, go back to sleep and leave the posting to the big boys.

If Henson leaves for a better position, that is good for him and his family. It is always a good thing to better your career. If we have one more open position, maybe we could get someone to be a QB/TE coach, or another offensive coach, which could be an improvement.

The link said he's up for TE coach ... at best, that would be a lateral move.

Didn't someone (like maybe belowpar) come here and claim that we didn't even officially offer Orgeron? It might have been from a premium site.

Personally I wouldn't be surprised if we didn't actually offer him.

Here's what I choose to believe: we didn't offer him but something somewhere leaked out and BAM Tenn had to pay him a hundred grand more. Remember who O's agent is..........I'm just sayin is all.

Before you accuse Miles of anything, lets get some shite straight.

Actually, BelowPar stated that he was offered, and actually stated how much he was offered.

Based on Belowpar's info in the past, you can be assured that he was offered.

Ok, I couldn't remember who said he didn't receive an offer. It may have been the premium site, I dont know.

I definately takes belowpar's word to the bank.
But I could definately see the other scenario being the truth.

either way I heard from several people that Lane was completely cool with O coming on the staff. I highly doubt that was an issue and would effect his decision to leave.

By the way, henson is not even leaving yet is he?
