He was in Lake Charles Wednesday trying to sway Jantzen Jackson over to Alabama. What a loss that would be for us.

What gets me is that I think he is trying to prove a point and grab a big time Louisiana player...just to prove something. Why doesn't he stay in his own state and try to shore up a player like Kirkpatrick? Is there really that big of a difference between Janzen and Kirkpatrick?

Friend of mine in Bastrop said he is supposed to head up that way after visiting Janzen.

That's why I don't like what he is trying to do here in LA.
1)he has plenty of talent in AL
2)Have you seen Spurrier so actively compete with UF on certain players? I am sure spurrier loves UF.
Saban doesn't give a damn about LSU. It's all business for him

Did Saban also offer his dad a coaching job?

He's trying to get the best talent possible. He's gone after guys like Mingo, Randle, and JJ. Those are guys that are on every big school's radar. He's doing fine on AL talent but he's gotta get more players than that. He's pulled as many or more from Florida and Tenn in the last 2 years as he has from LA.

We need another safety is why he's after Janzen. Dre is a CB. We've got Rod Woodson at safety, but the staff wanted to add one more. Janzen would be top pick (but unlikely), Darren Myles Jr. a very close second.

You sir are retarded.

Saban does not have some personal vendetta against LSU and the people of Louisiana.

His job, just like Mile's job, is to go out and recruit the best players he can possibly get to go and play football for his team, regardless of where they live.
