Chicago Bears former D line coach
Posted by Palm Beach Tiger on 1/9/09 at 3:34 pm00
What do we think of him? And what do we think of the defensive coaching staff of the team he is going to? Personally, I couldn't be happier. I am stoked to see what we are going to look like with this staff in play.

quote:me either. I was reading, he also coached linebackers which makes him versatile as a coach. Also he coached D line at Miss State so he knows the ins and outs of recruiting in the SEC. I think its a good hire that wont clash heads with les and staff. I really think coach O would have clashed with les at one point or another. very pleased with all the hires in the off season thus far.
, I couldn't be happier

His fricking name is Brick! That's the greatest name a D-line coach could have. We're going to be rocking next year.

He is supposed to be a good recruiter but most of the Bears fans here are glad to see him go. The Bears had a few injuries on the D line this year but they all blame the dropoff in productivity compared to the superbowl year on the DC and the Dline coach FWIW. I hope he turns out to be a pleasant surprise for us.

He got to coach under Lovie Smith and I think that should be a positive too.

Clueless fans blaming the coaches, where have I heard that before?

It may be a valid criticism, it may have had some extenuating circumstances, but it's our gain IMHO.
He is in the Ala A&M HOF. He has produced good linemen out of less talent than we can offer. He once received an award called "Inspiration Award". I like the sound of that.
