For those who are interested, Glen Coffee entering the draft. Decreases our chances with T. Richardson (had little chance anyway). This is good news anyway. He and Ingram were Bama's best backs.

projected to go in the middle rounds, seems odd to go out early, but I guess he knows the o-line won't be as good next year

This secures Trent Richardson to Bama 100% IMO.

Bingo. Come out this year and be drafted in mid rounds or stay and might go undrafted.

Exactly. He may have lost the starting spot to Richardson and faded into mediocrity as a backup behind a new O-line trying to find its identity.

How many players who could have left stayed for their Sr. year under Saban? I think he's so hard on them they want to get out as soon as possible.

He did seem almost happy to go. . . "Yeah, I'm gone"

Something about Saban.

Odds of Ciron and Lafell staying?

He would of started, but been possibly worse than he was in 2007 because of the OL.

LaFell is def. coming back with this slew of WRs declaring early. Work on his game a little more and become a mid-high 1st round pick.

Ciron I hope stays, but I honestly don't know. I do know he said last weekend he would have a decision mid-week this week and he said on Wednesday he made his decision and hasn't announced anything...I guess that means he's staying

All we have to wait until is next Thursday.

I disagree...if he lost the starting spot to anyone, it would be Mark Ingram. He came on strong in just his freshman year.

And you're new to the Saban regime. It's a fact, many guys just don't like to play under Saban. It's a proven fact.

No offense dude, but players consistently left in their Jr year under Saban when he was at LSU, even guys who went late or didn't get drafted at all(Trev Fault ). Since Miles has been here we've had All-American type players like LaRon, Big Herm and Dorsey come back for their Sr. years.
Not flaming you, just letting you know how it was here.

Only 2 players to leave early in the 4 years Miles has been here was Russell at #1 overall (anyone leaves for that) and RJF who left because he couldn't ever get his grades in line.

I stand corrected. Thanks.

I do however think if Coffee wanted to play in the NFL, he needed to leave this year.
