Hats off to him for calling a good Peach Bowl game. Finally he utilized the QB's strength. Jefferson is the perfect QB to roll out and be given the option to pass or tuck it in. I only wish he would have changed that when he had J Lee at the helm.

What I have heard:

Jefferson did not know enough of his reads during the first half of the season. Not really his fault. The package they utilize with him in a game is 50% different just as Zee said because he has different abilities. There is NO WAY to learn quickley when you are getting 20% of the reps in practice.

The same thing happened when Keiland arrived. He did not know the blitz pick up packages, and they were not going to let him get a QB killed.

Since the day after the Ole Miss game, Crowton has installed the JJ offensive package, and he has absorbed it like a sponge. Confidence and knowing where to go with the ball showed on Wednesday. Do you remember how lost he looked during mop up duty?

This means bad news for Lee. Hatch actually has more of a chance to get practice reps right now. With Sheppard coming in THIS MONTH, expect an amicable Lee transfer.

One last thing: If JJ would have been thrown to the wolves against Florida and Georgia, LSU would have lost and his confidnece may have suffered. The lost bye week (Troy game) would have been a perfect time to make the change for the Ole Miss game. I think they may have lost that game, but would have beaten Arky. The hurricane DID affect things.

Looking forward to the JJ/RS years.

I pretty much Kige all that. Jefferson looks to be the starter for as long as he is wearing purple and gold IMO. If he keeps improving he will be special. I've heard he would have been a 5 star recruit had he not of gotten injured in high school. Anyone see him play at that level?
