But not as much of a meltdown as any Jets boards must be in. It seems like they were scrolling Jets-Favre stuff all day...

I'm usually pretty indifferent towards USC... but some of the crap Musburger and Herbstreit were spewing was awful. Not that that's USC's fault by any means.

Too bad no playoff and we couldn't just get rid of the Rose Bowl. I have got to believe that even USC fans are getting bored of this stuff.

I thought I read somewhere that since PC thinks the BCS selection process is so fricked up, his goal for every season is to get to the Rose Bowl. He seemed to be genuine when he said that they enjoy being there, especially with the way he told off the doubters... but I can't say if the players feel the same way.

A goal to be in the Rose Bowl is a good one. If you think about it, every sec team's goal is to get to the Sugar Bowl. My point is that to go to either bowl, you more than likely have to win your conference. A N.C. bid is a vote, playing your way to the Rose or Sugar bowl is determined on the field.

I feel kinda bad for USC sometimes. Bowl games are supposed to be a chance to go to a different part of the country and see a different city, but USC always ends up playing in their backyard. That's gotta suck, especially since SC would probably travel really well
