I'm sure this has been brought up before, but why is it that the last couple of Sugar Bowls that LSU has played in all we hear leading up to the game is it is essentially a home game for LSU (being about 70 miles away)? When we won the MNC in 03 and last year it was "well, it was a home game for them". But you very rarely hear how USC in the Rose Bowl is a "home game" for them (11 miles away)?

LSU wins in New Orleans = home game
USC wins in Rose = they are just a great team

Oh well.....just ranting!!!

I agree. Every Sugar Bowl they mention it being a home game for LSU. I don't think they've ever said that about USC. Good point.
