Come on down Brick! A native of Gadsden, AL. It would be nice to steal a few AL recruits from Saban, or at least make Saban work harder for these kids.

why are ppl so pumped about this guy? I am not saying he isn't a good coach, but I see nothing in his resume that deserves all the praise he is getting.

With losing coach O and we have Chavis. We more than ever need a very very good D-line coach and DB coach

I didn't say I was pumped about the guy, though he has coached a very successful DLine under a good defensive coach (Lovie Smith), has coached in the SEC, etc., so seemingly he does have some credentials.

More than anything it was a post to say "Ok, Coach O wants to be a Volunteer, so let's forget about him and look for the next guy"...

LSU can do better than this. There's NOTHING very impressive on that guy's resume. Miss.State, c'mon!

Why would an NFL position coach take a demotion to a be a position coach in college? What's the Chicago Bears DL done the last few years?

Haley played linebacker in college and has coached mostly LB's. What's he gonna do for our DL? Really, answer that? But hey, he's AA, so lets sign him up and let em get to work recruiting, huh. Hope Miles doesn't go this route again. ....

Nothing impressive? He's been the DL coach of one of the best DLs in PRO football? He's coached in the SEC and for 18 years overall? What more are you looking for in a position coach hiring? We're not talking a coordinator or asst head coach, we're talking position coach.

Why do we want a coach that may have just been fired by the Bears????

Haley Fired?

I haven't studied this guy but he's got some baggage with Bear's fans.

The NFL assistant coaching ranks are constantly turning over. It seems Orgeron may have been on the firing block with the Saints had he not taken the UT job. Doesn't necessarily indicate a coach's ability to be a good coach. Good coaches get fired every year and land in other jobs where they succeed. Who else do you have in mind that you know would come here?

No suggestions, just sharing what I had come across.

I'm confident Miles will get a good one.....hopefully a real up & comer.

I agree, except for promoting Mallory and Peveto as co-DCs last season, caught in the euphoria of a NC, Miles has usually made solid hires.

What do the Bears' fans dislike about Brick Haley? There was a poster from Chicago who didn't seem to like him very much, but I don't remember reading anything that was too specific.

Is there a problem with his tactics? Is he too tentative? Does he have problems with his players? I just want to see some concrete evidence about him because he seems pretty good to me, otherwise.
