I don't think so. I know we need a DC but not one that is use to running the 3-4 defense. That is what go Vilma out of New York. You need to have 4 solid linebackers and a great nose tackle to run the 3-4 and we just don't have that. You can't just get solid backers over night. It took the Ravens a couple drafts to get solid backers. And they did exactly what they had to do to run the 3-4 very effectively. IMHO

No way. Romeo is one of the larger jokes in NFL history - You could have been the D-coordinator for the Pats under Billick with that roster and won a couple of Super Bowls as well.

I didn't even think of that. Even that would make Vilma change is mind about the "Double Secret Saints/Vilma 1 Minute into FA" deal.

i think Romeo is a product of the system... being under Belichik in New England made him... Belichik is the Defensive mastermind, plus the talent that they had in New England those years Crennel was there was different than what we have here... I think he and Charlie Weis both benefitted from being under Belichik and are suffering right now from not actually being as good as what were to be thought just because of who they coached under and the success of the team they were coaching... this is all just my opinion of course, but I don't think Crennel is our answer

Romeo already weighs 450 pounds. One season in NOLA would pack another 100 on him . . . he'll drop dead of a heart attack before Year 3 of his tenure.
