I hate the Carolina Punter

If he dosen't shank a punt Brees probably gets the record.I could see that happen in the weather that was in Buffalo but not inside a dome.

i could have sworn they did that shite on purpose.
if he would have punted it correctly Drew would have gotten the record and we could have possibly ran out the clock for the win.

I don't think they shanked that punt on purpose. They were playing for a bye and a home game and were down 6 with over 5 minutes left.
Now if they were up two scores, I may reconsider.

We shoulda used the same stratgey...after the Moore TD, let them return the KO for a TD, go down by six again, and then let Brees do it one more time. What could be better? Break the record on a GW drive. That's how records should be broken.

carolina wasn't down by 6. they could have very well punted it correctly.

Since the saints defense obviously couldn't stop them on that last drive, instead of letting them run the clock and kick the field goal let them score. Then at least you have time for one last drive.

You're right, but that doesn't prove they shanked it on purpose. There was plenty of time for the saints to score a TD, which they did, and go up 1. No way, as horrible as our D is, Fox wanted to risk a loss just to keep Brees from getting some record that is meaningless to his team.
