I don't think he's going to make a big impact on the recruits.

Was working in WM today and picked up 97.7 during the ramsey show. Saban made an appearance after the hosts did an interview with Coach Shows of WM this morning, then confirmed he was visiting Bastrop today as well.

Not sure if the hosts have much insight on recruiting, but a caller called in and was talking about how excited he was to see Mingo in P&G, and in a round about way the hosts said no way is Mingo close to leaning to LSU. One interesting piece of the show I listened to, they spoke of Shows assessment of Mingo, and Shows said he was one of the purest talents he has ever coached, and has the ability to be a Brady James or better type of linebacker!!!

Also said OK and Bama have strong chance at Randle.

It would be hard for Nick Saban to pull RR out of Louisiana. As for Mingo, he might.

As a result, that's why I said Saban probably isn't going to make a big impact on the recruits though. So why don't you think before responding.

I think that Sabin has very little shot at signing Mingo. The LB situation at LSU is soooooo much more attractive than at Bama, at least insofar as early playing time. Plus, there are other obvious reasons.

Is Mingo more of a 4-3 or 3-4 LB? I've read the he would be better in a 3-4 (actually a couple of people have said it on here) but I don't know for sure and figured I'd ask.

Either way, he ends up at LSU. No way Shows lets another one go to Bama.

3-4 but contrary to popular belief Bama runs a 3-3-5, not a 3-4.

Mingo and RR are on opposite ends of the spectrum as far as the likelihood of going to bama, but you have them backwards
